School Visit to Drumcliff South Ringfort

I brought classes from Rathcormac National School to visit the raised Rath in the nearby townland of Drumcliff South, Rathcormac.

All age groups enjoyed their visit to this fine example of a ringfort and were told all about this monument type, the stories associated with them and what an archaeologist does. The children were very taken with the stories of the fairies association with these places!
